You get the peace and quiet of the trees and the birds, but you are never more than five minutes away from the textile heaven of Basilio Badillo. Plus, the condos in Amapas tend to have that modern aesthetic we all crave while still feeling like you are in the heart of Mexico.
Strolling Down Basilio Badillo
If you only have time for one street, make it Basilio Badillo. This is the heartbeat of shopping in the Romantic Zone. I always start my mornings here with a coffee before diving into the boutiques.
One of my top recommendations is Ponciana Boutique. It is located at Basilio Badillo 258, and it is honestly like walking into a rainbow. They have the best selection of typical Mexican clothing and home items. Everything is hand-embroidered or handwoven. I recently picked up a set of table runners there that completely transformed my dining room.
