Some people call the area nearby Old Town or Zona Romantica, but just so you know, they are basically the same wonderful place.
But for us, Amapas is where the real magic happens.
It is tucked away just enough to feel private, but close enough that you can walk to the beach in minutes.

Why Amapas is the Place to Be
We always tell our friends that Amapas is a total game-changer for vacations.
It is where the lush green jungle hills meet the bright blue ocean.
You get these incredible views that you just can't find anywhere else in the city.
The air feels fresher here, and the sounds of the birds in the morning are just AMAZING!!

One of the coolest things about Casa Opportunity is the art.
As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by this SPECTACULAR mural.
It was painted by Jose Baldi, who is a very famous artist here in Mexico.
The mural shows the iconic church in the center of town and the beautiful coastline.
It makes the whole apartment feel like a living piece of art!
We spent so much time just looking at the details in that mural while sipping our morning coffee.
It really brings the spirit of Puerto Vallarta right into your living room.
The apartment itself is about 680 square feet, which is the perfect size for two people.
It has tall glass windows and doors that let all that amazing Mexican sunshine pour in.
Those Unbeatable Views
Let’s talk about the view because it is seriously SOOO good.
Casa Opportunity has a panoramic view of Banderas Bay and the surrounding mountains.
You can sit on your private balcony and watch the ships go by or catch a sunset that will take your breath away.
We loved sitting out there in the evenings when the sky turns those bright shades of pink and orange.
It is the perfect spot to unwind after a day of walking around Old Town.
The neighborhood is generally peaceful, but it is still Mexico!
You might hear a rooster in the morning or a dog barking nearby.
Honestly, we think those sounds just add to the charm and make it feel like a real home.
Comfort and Convenience
Inside, everything is set up to make you feel comfortable.
There is a big king-size bed that we found incredibly cozy.
The bathroom even has a special touch with two shower heads!
It is those little things that make a stay feel extra special.
For the hot days, there are two mini-split air conditioners: one in the bedroom and one in the living room.
This is super important for staying cool during the tropical afternoons.
There are also two Smart TVs if you want to catch up on movies or shows.
They have access to thousands of movies and live TV from the US, Canada, and Mexico.
But with a view like that outside, we didn't spend much time watching the screen!
Location is Everything
Casa Opportunity is only about four blocks away from Los Muertos Beach and the heart of Old Town.
This means you are close to all the best restaurants, shops, and art galleries.
However, you should know that Amapas is on a hillside.
Because of the hills and some stairs, this spot isn't the best if you have trouble walking or mobility issues.
But if you are up for a little walk, the location is unbeatable.
You are also very close to the Casa Cupula Hotel.
They offer day passes for their pool, restaurant, and gym if you want a change of scenery for the afternoon.
It is so nice to have those options just a short walk away.
We also recommend checking out some other hidden gems of Amapas while you are in the area.
Living Like a Local
Staying in a condo like this is so much better than a standard hotel.
You have a full kitchen, so you can head to the local markets and buy fresh fruit and veggies.
We loved making our own breakfast and eating it on the balcony while listening to the birds.
There is something so peaceful about the jungle air in the morning.
It really makes you feel like you belong in Puerto Vallarta rather than just being a visitor.
The building also has other great options like Sueño, The Nest, and Hummingbird.

We cannot say enough good things about staying in Amapas.
It really is our favorite neighborhood in the whole city.
The mix of nature, art, and proximity to the beach is just perfect.
